Week 15

In 21 January I did not come to the class because that day I was a committee for academic competition for students thirty- nine schools in Sisaket  province. In former I prepare myself  for presents group work , three persons of us.  Our plan in the first time, we divided our work are three part such as writing  In-text Citation , Writing Quotation, Writing References.   For  me responsible in quotation mark, it mean the correct word or  words that a speaker said. There are two types of them,  direct and indirect quotation. A direct quotation is the words you hear from someone speaking.  An indirect quotation, is the words that someone  uses to describe another speaker. If that paragraph more over forty words we should be separate more one paragraph by indent about a half of inch.

Week 14

Part 1

In the morning my friends two persons were presented their work about , the first one six and seven , and the second person in  lesson nine. Chapter six is hedging, there are five of hedging  are lexical verb hedges, modal verb hedges, adverb hedges, adjective hedges, and noun hedges. We use them when for a gentleness. Chapter  seven is writing evaluative stances, we use this word for analysis  the theory or research to reference .evaluative adjectives, there are nineteen words such as apparent , appropriate, clear, difficult, easy. Then the second person presented about paragraphs and essays, paragraphs  is a group of sentences with one topic. It is also a self-contained unit of a discourse in writing dealing with a particular point or idea. There are three  composition in a paragraph follow as Main idea, supporting sentences, concluding  sentence.

Part 2

 In the afternoon two classes take a test in multiple choices about  twenty  points. that  the detail came from text book, the content in this book  mention about  teaching , reading, writing, listening, speaking , teaching languages and remedial work. The method in this test is everybody read the question and  answers .  then everyone choose only one choice,  next teacher shown the correct answers to us. And the last we gave a score for ourselves. From this test, I can got a new knowledge in remedial work , aptitude , An aptitude test mean it can give you a blueprint for success based on your natural talents. learning English in the secondary school, children 5-6 year should be learn English language  in short time about twenty to thirty  minutes  per a day.  For children between 5 -7  the period up to forty- five minutes and learn from  birth is the best  way.

Part 1

On Friday 23 January  Supiengpitch  phornroekngam said about plagiarism have four categories such as paraphrase, taking  opinion of each  other to show like own his or her opinion, self plagiarism and duplicate every thing. There are five concept in it, example take an ideas of someone, take ideas and words but not put citation/quotation, sometime plagiarize languages thoughts ideas, or expression, make by attention or accidental, It is relate about moral, not a legal but it commit. Next  she mention a recent case Montana Democratic Senator John walsh, who plagiarized potions of a final paper when he had forty-six years old.  Style copy, e.g. same metaphor is we use the word for compare or increase the words but the meaning is still original. For Excuses of someone such as lazy, they do not copy they will send a work behind the time. In the consequences of plagiarism such as final in education, degree abrogate, degree revoked, lay off from work, copyright infringement, no new knowledge gained, and no advancement in career and life. Then she gave an illustrate in Thailand are two peoples. Which they was revoke a degree and cut out a salary. And the last plagiarizing himself is Jonah  L.ehrer,  he is a writer in New York, which he plagiarized

                                                                                     

 Part 2  

The first group is Create New words  Supporting theory of Barry Taylor he mention about the learner or everyone  their language before mother tongue (Little wood, 2008) Transfer is the process that the learner use it previous they got knowledge. The scene about  grade 8 students secondary school in the classroom, Teacher taught in story of foods. She asked the first question, Did you have breakfast? , then students answer the question by used the mother tongue. They transfer the words because Thai language transform with English. and the next question about foods, students speak in the same ways. In this situation, learner able to practice their skill such as reading, speaking, listening, and show one’s opinion

The second group is Foreign and Second Language Learning  In this text mention to baby, they are two years, be able to speak easy words, and some word. they cannot accuracy pronounce. By the time children can utter their first words, according to the linguistic society. And a ,lot of time they playing around sounds and intonation of language. The theory of Lois Bloom(1970) children shorten the words are five categories such as conjunction, description, possession, location, agent. And the last children learn about language by observation in difference. There are five kinds of function such as conjunction, description, conjunction, location, agent. Next the grammatical development of children “ Grammar is the set of structural rules governing the composition of clauses, phrases, and words in any given natural language (Wikipedia)  In my opinion this story match with the theory.

        The third group present about Verb Inflection  An inflection expresses one or more grammatical categories with a prefix, suffix or infix, or another internal modification such as a vowel change.^[1]For example, the Latin verb ducam, meaning "I will lead", includes the suffix -am, expressing person (first), number (singular), and tense (future). The use of this suffix is an inflection. In contrast, in the English clause (Wikipedia).  There  are two type  of  inflection the first is verb and the second is noun or adjective or pronoun, inflection of verb, it is know that verb can put prefix, suffix, infix, so they transfer become new morpheme with a new meaning and function we can put –er,  -ing,  -ion follow verb,- ing  such as sleeping bag, running nose. –tion such as instruction, reflection, relation, location, direction. For -er  example ginger, speaker, seller, director. In my opinion this story match with the theory.

The fourth group present in The differences between learners The first time this group were role play about situation in the class, teacher taught some thing, then she gave an order to her students. The Theory of Howard Garner of Harvard has identified distince intelligences this  theory has express about difference points, in each person can understand the lesson in difference ways. And the second one is Platto said that two persons were born in difference, one person must have a differs from one in a capacity and for one occupations in another. Individual different come from plentifully reasons such as, teacher should provide them is a variety of learning example for learners  who quite a low proficiently, teacher should offer a simply assignment, for students who quite expertly they should to acquire be complicated more than the first group more over teachers should have a lot of activities to them such as group project role playing, research, table quizzes, mind maps, Think-pair- share.  I think it is match with the theory.

The fifth group is Learning occurs both consciously and subconsciously The conscious mind is the part of your mind that is responsible for logic and reasoning. If I asked you about the sum of one plus one it’s your conscious mind that is going to be used to make  that addition.(Wikipedia) such as When the teacher teach we about the step  some program, then we take note and remember in each step. And the last  we practice the process until become fluent enough. Subconscious mind is the part of your mind responsible for all of your  involuntary actions. Your breathing rate and heart beats are controlled by your subconscious mind. (Wikipedia) I am quit unclear in this group because the meaning of both points is a close.

And the last group is The Communicative effect of second language learners’ speech From the topic they have ten points follow as: First is Errors have less effect on the intelligibility of speech than many second language learners assume. The second  The effect on intelligibility does not depend  only on the nature of the error itself. The third is Some studies suggest that, on average, vocabulary errors affect communication more that grammatical errors.The fourth is grammar, ‘global’ errors generally hinder communication more than ‘local’ errors. And the fifth is Learners who use a lot of communication strategies are often difficult to understand. I think it is match with the theory.

Week  10 Share  Idea

                In the morning and afternoon class we learned about content in the red  book. In the morning all of us  have  four  peoples  because  five people  were  absent . we  were one  group  for  present  about story in the lesson 7 Using a second  language. Then  everyone in  the group selected  the point is Create New Words, In  this section mention about some of students in  elements school  in native-language word. Who did not know  the word, so he construct the new words by himself. Then our group write the outline in paper send to Arjarn. In the afternoon  my class were combined with the senior class, they learning about building the blog. Then they set their group. Juan presented about the outline that we selected, in the front of class for example to seniors.

Week  10 Share  Idea

Week 9 Grammar rule class

Me and my friend learned about lesson 4-5 in the light blue book, that we    in the last time before attend to the class. The presenter is Numwan Lee  she talked about 2 chapters  such as the first one Avoiding Sentence Problems are Misplaced Modifiers, Dangling Modifiers, Squinting Modifier.  For the first if we put it far from the word or phrase that it to expand,  the result is everybody confuse in it. We must put it stick with the word that it expand.  Squinting Modifier is a problem that we set down it in the middle or between the sentences it make we do not understand that word Where does it expand. And the last of the lesson is squinting modifier is the problem that we put it in the middle of the word or between  sentences, the cause is we do not know that which word it to expand. Then we studied  in lesson 5 Academic Word is a formal language Such as full forms, contractions informal and formal language. Everyone in the class quite interested  in her presentation.

Week 8 Attend to the seminar at Ubonratchathani University

    On Friday, 19 December 2014.  Everyone to attended the seminar at Ubonratchathani University.  this ceremony start at nine o clock, there are two master of ceremonies one lady and one man.  And ten presenters, which separated five people in the morning and afternoon. We must take about Title, presenter, Research question, Purpose of study, idea. In the morning have five presenters such as Kanya Panapob, Ratchapon Pakdeethai, Chairawat Srisawat, Yupaporn  Niyom, Prattana Phayoongwong. Then in the afternoon such as pornpimon  Tangsakul, Sommai Poontha, Maliwan  Chaiyakat, Jittiporn Saentaveesuk, Kanjana  Manomai,  When each of  presenters finished presentation, many of professor and Arjarn to suggested the correct way.
